"All right, kids, put on your fighting gloves! Uh... Woo hoo! It's-a me!", says Doopliss impersonating the body of our hero, Mario. Having the ability to steal people's identities and being in possession of one of the Crystal Stars (specifically the Ruby Star) sure has its perks. One of my personal favorite bosses from the Paper Mario series, it made sense that Doopliss got a cocktail personification!
Inspiration
For somebody who can be any-ONE, it made sense to have a cocktail that had every-THING. What comes to mind is naturally a Long Island Iced Tea, basically an almost-one-of-everything cocktail. It occurred to me that white chocolate liqueur hasn't failed me in the past to go oddly well with a number of different combinations, so we designed this riff around Doopliss' white sheet body and slick and joking personality.
Flavor Analysis
Very forward on the booze (like most Long Island Iced Teas and variations thereof). It's like drinking a bottle of Pinnacle Whipped vodka, but with the proper fullness to not feel like drinking straight flavored-vodka. The texture from the milk and balance of flavors from the Godiva white chocolate and other components round things out considerably. This tastes reminds me of a fraternity party where vodka gummy bears (gummy bears that sat in vodka for 24+ hours) were the drink of choice. A handful of vodka-bears and a spritz of whipped cream in the mouth is like drinking Doopliss. Honestly, tastes just as good as it sounds.
The Face
Looking to make your own Doopliss-faced glass? Though re-producing glasses with Doop's visage is beyond my legal rights, I can provide you pieces of paper that (with a lil moistening) will stick to just about anything. Doopliss' face and his Party Hat!
